Ms. Smith started her career in the transportation industry in 1992 as a Reservation Specialist for Ryder System, Inc. where she assisted rental customers with move planning and rental needs. In 1992, Ms. Smith was promoted to the position of Senior Customer Service Specialist where she was responsible for providing direct assistance and support to truck rental and leasing clients that were experiencing mechanical and related issues with their vehicle. With a solid understanding of the truck rental and leasing business, coupled with her secondary educational background in business and accounting, Ms. Smith was quickly promoted to the Accounts Receivable department where she was responsible for auditing and processing invoices for national account customers.
As the division expanded its service offering to full service corporate relation services (Ryder Move Management), Ms. Smith’s realm of responsibility grew and included the auditing and invoicing of domestic and international full-service household goods moves as well as other related relocation services such as home finding, home marketing and sale. Given her expertise in transportation and relocation services, Ms. Smith was promoted to the position of Senior Sales Specialist in 1996. In this role, she was responsible for supporting sales executives with developing custom proposals, RFP responses, presentation and other vital sales support duties.
In December of 1999, Ryder System sold Ryder Move Management to an industry competitor who moved business operations out of the South Florid area. Ms. Smith was recruited by Armstrong Relocation as a Corporate Relocation Consultant. For the next four years, Ms. Smith performed exemplary in her role and accepted increasing responsibility in her position. In 2004, Ms. Smith relocated to the Florida Treasure Coast where she decided to dedicate her time and energy on her family. While supporting her very active family, Ms. Smith held various part-time positions, as well as supporting the operations of the family-owned business interests. Given her keen business acumen and entrepreneurial drive, Ms. Smith was recruited by long-time business associate Sally Aversano to start a new business venture – Strategic Logistics and Relocation Solutions. In her current role, Ms. Smith is responsible for all customer service and business operations for the company.
